Leslie's Hip-Hop Dance

This is a video of Leslie dancing her hip-hop routine to JUMP AND MOVE from the movie Happy Feet. The ballet and tap videos did not turn out so well so I wont post those. we can not tape during the recital, because a professional service is coming in to record it. I will buy the DVD tho! She is on the end in the red colored tank top. I was shocked at all the make-up they have to put on! They literally have to look like clowns to be seen properly under the stage lights.

Leslie's Dance Instructor

Leslie had her dress rehearsal tonight for the recital on Saturday. I got this little clip of her dance instructor Kristin. I did not know she would be in one of the dances! She is so cool and quite the drill sergeant. She is the one in white. Danica went with us to rehearsal and had a blast! She clapped, danced and even hollered YEAH!!! She did really well for the two hours!

Leslie's School Concert

Leslie had her school concert. She is directly in front of me with the blue scarf.
She had a solo, but I could not see her at the microphone because she is so short! Hope you enjoy the little clip of her concert!

Happy Birthday Leslie!

Leslie had a busy weekend for her Birthday! She had a few friends over and boy did they stay busy. On Saturday night we took Leslie and a friend to see the new Narnia movie and we all enjoyed that! Danica ended up getting sick and Nephi had to take her home, but she was pretty interested too! On Sunday, Debbie came over and enjoyed the day with us.

My sister decorated the cake, and if there are any Harry Potter fans out there you know what the cake is! The eyes melted a little, but it was really cool.

Danica's corner

Danica just loves to play in the corner between the window and the couch. She has blankets, a pillow and toys she stuffs back there to play with. I think Leslie has been helping her, because the scarf is tied on the window handle.

Danica and daddy were enjoying their usual lazy time in the chair. Danica just wanted to show him that she was a chicken dance master!

Chicken Dance

Leslie and her friend Debbie wanted to do the chicken dance so I HAD to record it! Danica was having a great time dancing and running around them!

Spring Fun

Now that the weather is nice we have been getting outside quite a bit! Danica loves the slide!

You can't tell very well, but Leslie has flowers braided in her hair. Iowa Western Community College offers kid fun classes every other Monday for two hours after school. Mondays they get out a t 1:15 so it is not that bad. She wanted to take the hair braiding class. They learned a few braids, and even made home made lip gloss! She had a blast!

A Nice Ride

We have been doing some yard work with the neighbors, since we have shrubs at the property line. While Nephi and Ryan were taking out some shrubs, Paula and I played with the kids. Their baby, Leah, is the same age as Danica.
