Danica's Hapkido Uniform

So Leslie's Hapkido teacher had another Hapkido uniform laying around and it was Danica's size. I usually go in early when I pick Leslie up so I can see what they are doing. Danica likes to stand close to the kids and imitate what they do and it is quite a hoot! I guess he thought Danica could use her own uniform! How cool!! Here is a video of Leslie showing her some moves.

Leslie is doing well in Hapkido. Her teachers said she has a lot of talent. She test for her first belt in April.

Crazy Hair Day

Last Friday was crazy hair day at school. I used some crayola paint markers to paint Leslie's haor and then we just put it up and stuck pipe cleaners in it.

HAPKIDO

Leslie has a new adventure. She is taking Hapkido classes twice a week at the community college. Hapkido is a martial art of self defense. It is a bit out of her element, but she is not giving up. She is afraid of getting hurt, but I told her she will be okay. The board breaking has her a little scared, but she will not have to worry about that for a while. I have posted several videos. This is only her fifth class. She will get her uniform in a few weeks and will be tested on her first belt in a few months. She has to memorize teminology and a few moves for her first belt. Between this and dance she is pretty busy, but as long as her grades stay up Nephi and I think it is great for her.

The first videos show a few of the million warm ups they have to do before even starting to do routines. They also have discipline rules they have to shout and one of them is obedience to parents! My favorite!!! I know it is killing her to say it! haha.
