One Sunday afternoon, my friend Paula, along with her daughter Leah, invited us to go to Nebraska City with them to the National Arbor Day Farm. There were a lot of activities going on that weekend. The girls had a pony ride, and Leslie made a rope and got to see how cider is pressed. When we left, we went a few miles up the road to Kimmell Orchard. We got to take a long hay rack ride (with a very chatty driver!) through the orchard to pick apples. Danica LOVED that! We bought some cider and spiced apple doughnuts. YUM!
